Long before Awakening Over Cave Hill ever existed, Scott and I climbed Cave Hill together when we were dating. As we stood looking out across Belfast, he turned to me and said he’d been thinking about looking at rings.
I remember trying to stay calm, but inside I wanted to burst with happiness.
Every time I look at this piece, I’m reminded of that feeling. The excitement. The hope. The beginning of everything that was to come.
